Line returned to service

Punch reported on 2 October that TCN restored the 330 kV Kainji–Birnin Kebbi single-circuit line on 1 October at 5:24 pm. Tower 367 had collapsed at Yauri on 7 September, taking the line out of service.

Emergency restoration system

TCN said crews erected an Emergency Restoration System tower after dismantling the damaged tower and preparing the conductors and skywire. The restored corridor serves parts of the North-West; actual customer supply still depends on generation and distribution conditions.
