Transformer taken out of service
Anadolu Agency reported on 1 October that the Saudi-led coalition attributed a drone strike on the Taibah electricity distribution station in Medina to the Houthis. The coalition said one transformer was knocked out and the grid was not affected.
Conflicting accounts
The station supplies electricity to the Prophet’s Mosque, according to the coalition spokesperson. The Houthis denied the accusation, calling it baseless through a military source quoted by Saba; responsibility remains disputed in the report.
