Infrastructure for planned air taxis
Schneider Electric said it delivered the electrical and digital backbone for Skyports Infrastructure’s VDX, a purpose-built commercial vertiport beside Dubai International Airport. The site was technically completed in April 2026 and certified for electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft in July. It is the flagship location in a planned Dubai air-taxi network; further sites are under development. The announcement describes infrastructure readiness, not a start of passenger service.
