A new centre for grid operations
Voice of Nigeria reported on 1 October that construction of the new National Control Centre in Osogbo had begun after a groundbreaking held on 30 September. The facility is intended to strengthen NISO’s monitoring, security and management of the national grid.
Modern monitoring and operations
NISO said the centre will provide a modern operating environment for grid monitoring and faster responses to system events. The report describes construction starting; the centre is not yet operating.
