The ministry’s October 3 notice says the 68th meeting was held in Kuwait under the chairmanship of Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Electrical Transmission Networks Faisal Sumait.
Members reviewed the interconnection system’s performance and activities and its role in supporting GCC national grids and regional electricity integration.
Operations and service continuity
The committee discussed operational events and steps taken to maintain service during summer and exceptional regional conditions.
The ministry said the coordination is intended to improve readiness and operating efficiency of the GCC interconnection system and support secure, sustainable electricity supply.
