A large planned grid tender

EPE published a fact sheet on 5 October for Transmission Auction No. 04/2026. The tender is scheduled for 30 October and is expected to cover R$8.9 billion in investment for 1,866 kilometres of transmission lines across seven states. The agency says the document explains how projects are selected for auctions and summarizes the main figures and planning studies behind this round.

Projects remain at the planning stage

The figures describe a forthcoming auction, not awarded contracts or lines already in service. EPE’s fact sheet is intended to explain the sector-planning process behind the proposed works, including where the projects originate and how needs are assessed. Any final construction scope and timing will depend on the auction and subsequent implementation.
