The system identified the five summer peak events with 97% confidence. At one site, chargers delivered an average 72 kW to vehicles while drawing 9 kW from the grid, reducing peak load contribution by 63 kW.

How the system works
The software prepares an onsite battery for likely peak periods and manages power shared between the grid, storage and vehicle chargers. The publication estimates about $12,000 in annualized capacity-charge savings at the reported site.
