Beluga–Healy project
The planned 223-mile connection combines up to $150 million in federal funding with $268 million in non-federal funds, for a total planned investment of $418 million.
Reliability benefits
DOE says the new route would connect Beluga and Healy and provide another path to move electricity between densely populated areas and major military installations, serving about 75% of Alaska’s population.
