Aker Solutions: On 29 June 2026 Aker Solutions announced a sizeable contract with Tussa Energi to supply all electromechanical equipment for the Tussa II hydropower plant in western Norway.
Engineering interpretation
The equipment package includes two 75 MW Pelton units, generators, control, cooling, drainage, high-voltage equipment and transformers. Planned delivery is 2030. Civil works are by Aurstad Tunnel; the project is alliance-inspired, and Aker’s package should not be described as full civil EPC.
Delivery responsibilities
The award concerns the equipment, components and associated services expressly listed by the supplier. The equipment package is distinct from the owner’s full construction programme and from civil works assigned to other contractors. Capacity describes the relevant plant or equipment, rather than supplier revenue. Planned manufacturing, installation and commissioning dates remain targets until the customer confirms the corresponding milestone.
