Engineering interpretation
The turnkey contract is estimated at NOK 5.6 billion excluding VAT and covers a 1,700 m tunnel with required installations. AF Gruppen developed the tender solution with consultant Norconsult; construction is expected to start in 2027 and take about five years.
Delivery responsibilities
An EPC reference defines a contracted combination of engineering, procurement and construction. Its boundaries still matter: field facilities, pipelines and utilities may be one package within a larger development. Construction affiliates and specialist subcontractors retain their stated roles. Quality records, pressure tests, pre-commissioning and handover need to match the actual facilities delivered.
