Akwa Ibom Eyaleti, Esit Eket’te planlanan günlük 10 milyon standart fit küp (MMscf/d) kapasiteli sıkıştırılmış doğal gaz (CNG) ana istasyonu için ilk ekipman sevkiyatı Çin’den sahaya ulaştı. İstasyon henüz devreye alınmadı.

Projeyi, Eyaletteki 10 federal seçim bölgesinde kurulacak dağıtım istasyonlarına gaz sağlama amacıyla Midstream and Downstream Gas Infrastructure Fund desteğiyle Nsik Oil & Gas geliştiriyor. Bildirilen sevkiyatta 4 pistonlu kompresör, kurutma ve filtreleme sistemleri, ısı eşanjörleri ve 4 jeneratör seti bulunuyordu; ekipman Çin’de NMDPRA düzenleyicilerinin katıldığı fabrika kabul testini geçmişti. Bir danışman 2 CNG treylerinin sipariş edildiğini ve yakındaki gaz altyapısından besleme beklendiğini söyledi; gaz arzı ve dağıtım istasyonları plan aşamasındaydı.
