## Source scope and interpretation
- Verified monthly copper and aluminium references come from the World Bank Pink Sheet. CRGO uses Eurostat Comext CN 72251100 + 72261100; mineral electrical insulating petroleum oil uses CN 27101993.
- Comext unit values are total EU27 extra-EU import customs value divided by net mass. They are monthly trade references, not delivered supplier offers. A customs code does not verify IEC 60296 certification, an individual CRGO grade or fluid density.
- The mineral-oil trade reference and its history are distinct from illustrative IEC fluid and grade baskets. The scenario indices are not verified global or regional market quotes.
- Natural and synthetic ester finished-fluid prices currently have no verified automated reference; their verified monetary fields remain null. Illustrative fluid scenarios must not be used as current supplier prices.
- Escalation uses P = P0 * [a * (Cu/Cu0) + b * (Fe/Fe0) + c * (Oil/Oil0) + d], with a + b + c + d = 1. Active material weights require positive, dated references. A nonzero fluid weight requires explicit supplier prices; a mineral-oil customs reference does not supply an IEC-grade quotation.
- Fluid volume/mass conversions depend on the stated density and quantity. The official customs oil price is not converted per litre or barrel with an assumed grade density. Published trademarks identify products and do not establish their current price.
- Source observation dates, verification flags and refresh health remain separate. Failed publishers retain their last successful snapshot. Source configuration does not imply successful ingestion.

# Raw materials and escalation tools

Monthly copper, aluminium, CRGO and mineral insulating oil references. Dielectric fluid scenarios are identified separately; fluid escalation requires dated supplier quotes.

## Inputs

Base/current indices, copper/steel/oil/fixed weights, base price, fluid volume and density.

## Results

Material observations, weighted escalation and volume-to-mass conversion.

## Interpretation and limits

Weights must sum to one. One barrel is 158.987294928 litres; mass requires the stated fluid density. Indices and derived proxies are not executable supplier prices.
