Reading the announcement
An award, engineering phase, equipment milestone and start of operations each describe a different point in a project lifecycle. The contract scope and responsible legal entity matter as much as the company named in a headline. Design services do not establish that construction has started, equipment supply does not prove full-plant EPC delivery, and an initial operating milestone is not the same as completed commercial operation.
Project considerations
Corporate indicators should be read with their period, definition and scope. Revenue, backlog, new awards and rankings measure different things; none alone establishes that a project is complete. Comparisons should preserve the measure, reporting period and consolidation scope used in the official release, while forecasts remain separate from achieved results.
