La Pluma Diario reported on 6 October that both VMOS buoys had arrived at the Río Negro port of San Antonio Este. The equipment is intended for later installation off Punta Colorada as part of the project’s offshore terminal.
Large-tanker interface
The report says the CALM buoy system is designed to accommodate very large crude carriers, with vessels able to carry up to 2 million barrels per trip. The arrival is a construction milestone; the terminal is not yet described as operating.
