Food waste plans for major events
Emirates Foundation signed memoranda with Environment Agency–Abu Dhabi and Ethara to support the national ne’ma food-loss and waste initiative. The EAD agreement covers policy, data exchange and measuring progress; Ethara’s agreement addresses waste measurement, surplus-food rescue and applying a Zero Food to Landfill framework at events. A community fridge at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix was described as a possible activity, subject to feasibility, not as an operating project.
