Reported project scope
PETRONAS Carigali awarded TechnipFMC subsidiary FMC Wellhead Equipment an integrated EPCI contract for Limbayong offshore Malaysia. The greenfield deepwater development uses Subsea 2.0 configure-to-order equipment and integrated execution of the entire subsea scope, with delivery acceleration stated as an intended benefit.
Delivery considerations
Limbayong links standardized subsea equipment with installation in an integrated contract. The engineering task is to keep equipment configuration, manufacturing release and offshore installation interfaces aligned throughout delivery. Offshore delivery requires close coordination between manufactured equipment, vessel availability and the existing production system. Pipe supply, subsea equipment and installation can be separate packages or part of an integrated EPCI scope. That contractual boundary matters when comparing contractors: supplying a flexible pipe system does not establish responsibility for the entire field development. Engineering decisions must also address pressure, water depth, connection interfaces and inspection access. The reported award describes future work unless completion is explicitly confirmed.
