The Tartous Agriculture Directorate and the World Food Programme agreed on a phased plan to upgrade the province’s main citrus and olive seedling center. Work is to begin with glasshouses, submersible pumps and irrigation networks; officials expect the improved nursery to supply healthier standardized seedlings at lower cost.
