Arrests near Mayo Kam
Business Times Nigeria reported on 3 October that Taraba’s Illegal Mining Task Force and Solid Minerals Ministry officials arrested two suspects at Gidan Boss near Mayo Kam. The site assessment took place on 2 October in Bali Local Government Area.
Investigation underway
Authorities said the suspects were taken to Jalingo for investigation. The task force described the operation as part of efforts to disrupt unauthorized mining and protect Taraba’s mineral resources.
