They cover engineering, food, chemical and textile sectors as well as services; the organization also said it was drafting new standards. The authority had adopted a one-stop process for standards requests and was working to enable online purchasing and payment. It was also rehabilitating damaged laboratories and relying on other state laboratories for testing. The roughly 5,000 standards are under update, not newly issued or completed."
