Syria seeks funding to complete €5m textile recovery project

SANA reported October 20 that Syrian officials met the Italian Embassy, ILO and UNIDO in Damascus to discuss the €5 million Weaving Hope project. Italy has contributed about €1.7 million and the ILO about €700,000; the initiative targets export, employment and competitiveness challenges in textile hubs Damascus and Aleppo.
