SANA reported October 18 that Deputy Agriculture Minister Mustafa Zakiya met China’s Sanyuan Gongcheng to discuss reclaiming steppe and degraded land and treating soil salinity. The parties agreed to technical meetings and joint teams to select trial sites; they have not announced a signed project or measured results.
