Damascus and French officials prepare November business forum

Damascus Chamber of Commerce chair Essam al-Ghuraywati met French chargé d’affaires Jean-Baptiste Faivre to discuss trade, business contacts and investment cooperation. They discussed investment and company laws which the report says aim to reduce company-formation time from about three months to one week. The second Syrian-French Economic Forum was planned for Damascus on 17 November, with business-to-business meetings and sector discussions.
