Homs’ Hassia Industrial City administration and al-Mabani al-Zahiya Real Estate Development signed two memoranda of understanding for the proposed Surow industrial city and an integrated residential suburb. The proposed industrial infrastructure covers about 1 million square metres, expandable, while the suburb is to be studied on 500,000 square metres. The developer said the suburb could accommodate 15,000–20,000 workers and their families. The first stage is surveying, soil testing and technical studies, before contracts or construction.
