The Industrial Bank branch in Hasakah resumed payment of pensions to civilian and military retirees who retired before 2011. Branch manager Mahmoud Idris said the restart restores access to banking services and means eligible pensioners no longer need to travel to other governorates to collect payments. The branch had been out of service for about 19 months. Other banking services were described as plans for the coming period.
