The Seed Multiplication Establishment’s Izraa branch in Daraa prepared 3,600 tonnes of wheat for distribution as seed in the next agricultural season. Distribution had not begun and was awaiting the Agriculture Ministry’s official price bulletin. The branch had contracted 800 farmers to plant 47,000 dunums in the previous year. By 5 September, it had cleaned and disinfected about 2,300 tonnes, after receiving about 9,979 tonnes at the end of the marketing season.
