Syria’s central bank and inspection authority discuss internal controls

The Central Authority for Control and Inspection and Central Bank of Syria held a Damascus workshop titled “Toward Effective Internal Control.” Participants included authority head Amer al-Ali, Central Bank Governor Safwat Raslan and deputy head Ali Suleiman. The workshop recommended extending controls into planning and implementation to support early risk detection and resource management. Follow-up teams were formed, but no implementation outcome was reported.
