Prices and supply constraints

Gezira State raised petrol to 8,950 Sudanese pounds per litre from 1 October. Red Sea State increased pump rates to 7,748 pounds per litre from 7,064. Analysts cited the shutdown of the al-Jaili refinery, scarce foreign currency for imports and import restrictions as causes of the supply crunch.
