## Reported scope and milestone

SRV: On 7 April 2026 SRV said construction of DayOne’s data center in Lahti would start immediately. The facility is scheduled to begin operations during 2027.

## Engineering interpretation

The contract combines construction delivery with technically demanding building systems and project management. SRV referred to its own building-services expertise; DayOne is the developer/operator and SRV is the construction contractor.

## Delivery responsibilities

The reported construction package defines the contractor’s delivery responsibilities. Civil works, building services, installation and commissioning may sit with different contractors or joint-venture partners. The full project budget is distinct from an individual contractor’s award. Contract award, site mobilization, practical completion and operation are separate milestones; planned dates and capacity remain prospective until the owner confirms delivery. The source-defined scope therefore matters when comparing a civil contractor, a construction manager and an integrated design-and-build provider.
