## Oil revenues under pressure

Access Radio reported on 4 October that Foreign Minister Ramdan Goc told the UN General Assembly that Sudan’s conflict had significantly reduced South Sudan’s oil production since April. The country relies on crude sales routed through Sudan to Port Sudan on the Red Sea.

## A vulnerable export route

Goc urged stronger international efforts to resolve the conflict, warning that disruption to the export corridor threatens a revenue source on which South Sudan’s economy depends heavily. The report describes his warning to the UN, not a new pipeline outage announcement.
