# SNEL starts compulsory recovery of overdue electricity bills

## Collection drive begins

SNEL announced that from 1 October it would intensify recovery of unpaid electricity bills in Kinshasa. The public utility said the operation would target overdue accounts as part of efforts to improve collections.

## Disconnection warning

The utility warned that customers who do not regularize their accounts risk disconnection. The initiative is a billing-enforcement measure and is separate from the generation constraints SNEL has cited.
