UAE ministry and Sharjah Publishing City link up on trademarks
The Ministry of Economy and Tourism and Sharjah Publishing City Free Zone signed a memorandum on 19 October to improve access to trademark registration and intellectual-property support for businesses. The agreement was signed alongside the Sharjah Investment Forum.
The cooperation includes technical guidance, staff training and awareness activities. The ministry said it registered 17,230 national and international trademarks in the first half of 2026; that figure is a reported registration total, not an estimate of new business formation.
