Qatar Mining prepares to resume operations in Sudan

Qatar Mining told Sudan’s minerals minister it is ready to restart mining activity after a period of suspension, while the ministry offered to address operating obstacles.

Company signals return

SUNA reported on 6 October that Qatar Mining expressed readiness to resume operations in Sudan after a stoppage. The company’s executive director, Hamad Rashed Al-Adhba, told the minerals minister that it had made significant progress in research and exploration and wanted to return in the next phase.

Ministry offers support
