Portugal trims weekly fuel-tax relief

Weekly discount lowered
ECO reported on 2 October that the ISP discount fell by €3.09 per 1,000 litres for road diesel and €4.06 per 1,000 litres for petrol. The updated rates took effect on Monday under a published ordinance.
Forecast behind the change
The ordinance cited an expected decrease in pump prices. Market estimates quoted by ECO suggested reductions of about 3 cents per litre for diesel and 3.5 cents for petrol; the tax support is recalculated weekly.
