Palmyra held its Date and Folk Heritage Festival on 13–15 October, reviving the event after a 16-year hiatus. More than 50 varieties from the oasis were displayed alongside crafts and cultural activities. Organizers said the festival promotes local products and tourism; growers cited shortages of irrigation water and red palm weevil as challenges to date production.
