Power planning as a regional agenda
The Guardian reported on 4 October that the Northeast Governors’ Forum adopted a shared regional energy agenda in its communiqué after a meeting in Maiduguri. The forum encouraged member states to use the electricity law and the region’s solar potential to expand mini-grids.
Hydropower and regional supply
The governors urged faster completion of the Mambila hydropower project and noted that the Dadinkowa hydropower plant in Gombe feeds the national grid. The communiqué presents regional priorities; it does not announce a new construction contract.
