Nairametrics Research counted 9 Nigerian startups raising a combined US$11.3 million in September 2026, compared with US$364.1 million across 20 startups in August, a 96.9% month-on-month fall largely reflecting August mega-deals. Nomba and transport/logistics firm Drive45 each raised US$3 million debt facilities, together accounting for 53.1% of September’s total.
Deeptech startup ChipMango recorded a US$1.9 million seed round and a separate US$200,000 venture round; Aeon raised US$1 million in a pre-seed round from Terra Industries. The tracked deals spanned fintech, logistics and transport, deeptech, waste management, agriculture/food and services. The total reflects Nairametrics deal tracking, not a comprehensive official register, and includes both debt and equity financing.
