# Oyo sugar mill enters commissioning and test-running stage

The National Sugar Development Council said Oyo Sugar and Derivatives Industries Ltd’s Iseyin factory reached commissioning and test-running after more than a decade of support. The greenfield mill is designed for 300 tonnes of cane per day.

NSDC’s total financial commitment was about ₦2.2 billion, while Oyo State contributed an estimated ₦850 million in equity. The plant is at commissioning and test-running stage, not yet full-scale commercial production.
