NBTI Director-General Kazeem Raji outlined a proposed investment pipeline exceeding \$600 million: a \$500 million solar programme with Gigawatt Global and \$100 million in financing opportunities linked to the Tinubu Light Initiative under a memorandum of understanding with Financial Innovation for Impact, UK. The amounts are not fully secured or disbursed; delivery depends on due diligence, financing, contracts and approvals.

The proposed Tinubu Light Initiative targets solar solutions for 1 million micro and small businesses and includes proposals for 10,000 field marketers, 50,000 direct youth jobs, ₦30 billion in blended phase-one financing and estimated annual economic benefits of about ₦12 billion. The separate \$500 million solar plan is for universities and polytechnics. NBTI also said 298 Nigerian innovators from all 36 states and the FCT took part in the NextGen Innovation Challenge finale in London on October 9, compared with 105 in 2025. These remain plans and reported event figures, not an operating small-business deployment.
