# Nigeria Customs tests scanners and cargo tracking system in China

A Nigeria Customs Service and Trade Modernisation Project Limited delegation began a factory acceptance test in China for newly acquired non-intrusive inspection equipment and an Electronic Cargo Tracking System. The two-week exercise at Nuctech began on October 9 and was expected to end on October 20, 2026; the equipment was to be checked against contractual specifications before shipment to Nigeria.

Customs and project technical staff received training in handling, operation and maintenance. Officials described the scanners and tracking system as complementary tools for cargo examination and monitoring. This report concerns acceptance testing, not equipment already deployed in Nigeria.
