Borno roundtable ends with nine private-sector commitment letters

The state plans quarterly follow-up on signed commitments and approvals; the announcements do not show that projects have been implemented.

A two-day Borno State private-sector roundtable in Lagos on 8–9 October concluded with nine signed letters of commitment: six companies signed on the first day and three organisations on the second. Two investors received land-allocation approvals, and Airtel obtained right-of-way approval for telecommunications towers in the state.

The state said an investment facilitation group would track commitments quarterly. The ministry also reported that Dangote Group allocated shares valued at ₦366 million for internally displaced people and returnees. The letters and pledges are commitments, not evidence that projects have been implemented.
