Navy destroys illegal refining site in Bonny
The Nigerian Navy says it dismantled an illegal refinery site at Promise Land Community along Nanabie Creek in Rivers State.

Site infrastructure destroyed
Voice of Nigeria reported on 4 October that the Navy’s Forward Operating Base Bonny destroyed the facility on 2 October. It contained three large storage tanks and a cooking pot; the site was first located on 30 September.
Anti-theft operation
The Navy said the action was part of Operation DELTA SENTINEL, which targets crude-oil theft and illegal refining. The report described destruction of equipment, not an arrest or recovered crude volume.
