## Engineering interpretation

The 6.8km Link Road serves the Sizewell C development. Kier’s contractor appointment covers a future construction package supporting site access, not commissioning of the nuclear station.

## Delivery responsibilities

The reported construction package defines the contractor’s delivery responsibilities. Civil works, building services, installation and commissioning may sit with different contractors or joint-venture partners. The full project budget is distinct from an individual contractor’s award. Contract award, site mobilization, practical completion and operation are separate milestones; planned dates and capacity remain prospective until the owner confirms delivery. The source-defined scope therefore matters when comparing a civil contractor, a construction manager and an integrated design-and-build provider.
