Imported food price growth slows to 9.19% in September
Nairametrics’ analysis of National Bureau of Statistics data put annual growth in Nigeria’s imported-food price index at 9.19% in September, down from 12.83% in August.
The index still rose year on year, from 124.1 to 135.5, while its monthly increase slowed to 0.07%. The report said slower inflation meant prices were rising more slowly, not that imported food had become cheaper overall.
