400 kV Collector Substation Scope
The contract covers the construction of a 400 kV substation and 45 km of double-circuit 400 kV overhead lines stepping up from 33 kV.
The substation incorporates digital protection relays with optical communications to provide redundant fault isolation.
Power Evacuation and Digital Grid Interconnection
When fully connected the facility will generate enough power for 300000 homes across the emirate while avoiding substantial carbon emissions.
High-capacity power transformers ensure efficient voltage step-up and stable dispatch into the central transmission network.
