## Awards span five sustainability areas

WAM reported on 2 October that EMSTEEL received five awards at the Gulf Sustainability Awards 2026 ceremony in Dubai: four gold and one bronze. The categories recognised sustainable products, circular-economy work, ESG reporting, environmental sustainability and innovation in sustainable technologies. The awards were announced at the ceremony; the report does not identify a new project commissioning or quantified emissions reduction.

## Company links work to lower-carbon materials

EMSTEEL said the recognition reflects work on lower-carbon products, resource efficiency, recycling and the use of industrial by-products. These measures connect the steelmaker’s sustainability programme to materials production and industrial decarbonization, although the WAM report gives no project-level output or emissions figures for the award-winning initiatives.
