Four new turbines
The 1 October announcement says 20 of the wind farm’s 24 turbines will be replaced by four modern units. Capacity for the repowered section rises from 10 MW to 18 MW, while the other four turbines remain in service.
Higher output, reused materials
EDP forecasts annual generation increasing from 22.9 GWh to 55.4 GWh. Work is under way, with completion planned by the first half of 2027; the company also says it has arranged specialist recycling for dismantled blades.
