## A sharp year-over-year revenue increase

Bloom Energy reported third-quarter 2026 revenue of \$1,235.8 million, a 138.1% increase from the same quarter a year earlier. Product revenue was \$1,073.6 million, up 179.4%, according to the company’s Oct. 22 results release. The figures are company-reported and compare the three months ended Sept. 30, 2026 with the corresponding 2025 period.

Bloom also reported GAAP operating income of \$225.4 million. Its release highlighted stronger product sales and a higher gross margin, while giving a full-year outlook that remains a forward-looking estimate. Quarterly revenue growth by itself does not establish recurring profitability, cash generation or the amount of new generating capacity delivered.

## The company raises its full-year outlook

Bloom raised its 2026 revenue guidance to a range of \$4.4 billion to \$4.6 billion. It also projected non-GAAP gross margin of about 34%, non-GAAP operating income of \$960 million to \$1.03 billion, and non-GAAP earnings per share of \$3.10 to \$3.40. These are company forecasts, not realized results, and non-GAAP measures are not interchangeable with GAAP earnings.

The raised outlook signals management expects the recent sales momentum to continue through the remaining quarter. Delivery timing, customer acceptance, input costs and working-capital needs can affect how revenue converts into operating cash. The release reported record quarterly sales, but investors still need to distinguish the revenue trajectory from cash flow and the economics of capacity expansion.

## Why the results matter to power buyers

Bloom sells solid-oxide fuel-cell systems for on-site electricity. Such equipment is marketed to data centers, semiconductor facilities, utilities and other commercial users that need dependable power. Its modular, on-site approach can be relevant where grid upgrades or new transmission connections take time, but the quarterly release does not quantify how much of its revenue came from data centers or identify a specific new customer order.

The results arrive as technology companies seek faster ways to secure electricity for computing infrastructure. Fuel cells are one option among grid service, generation, storage and other supply arrangements. A supplier’s reported growth may indicate demand, but it does not by itself show that a particular data center has selected the technology or that installations have entered service.

## Questions that remain open

The release describes a company expanding in a fast-growing market, yet several operating details remain important: the pace of manufacturing scale-up, cash required for inventory and equipment, customer project schedules, and the balance between product sales and service revenue. Company guidance does not resolve these execution questions, and forecast figures may change as orders and deliveries develop.

Bloom’s statement that it was added to the S&P 500 is a separate corporate milestone, not an operating measure. The main energy takeaway is narrower: reported quarterly sales accelerated and management raised its own annual outlook. Whether that growth produces durable cash flow and broad deployment will depend on future filings and project-level evidence.
