Work advances during the outage
Agencia Noticias Argentinas reported on 1 October that Atucha I had completed more than 17,000 tasks in its life-extension project. Work since the September 2024 shutdown includes reactor-protection renewal, electrical-network updates, steam-generator inspections and improvements to spent-fuel-pool cooling.
Return remains a future milestone
Nucleoeléctrica says the project aims to support another 20 years of operation. Fuel loading is planned for early 2027, subject to regulatory review; the report does not say that the reactor has returned to service.
