Río Negro’s government announced on 1 October that a public hearing on the four environmental studies would take place in Sierra Grande on 16 November 2026 at 08:00. The notice concerns Argentina LNG, a project proposed by YPF and its partners.

Four project components
The studies cover a dedicated gas pipeline, floating LNG units, a liquids pipeline and an industrial complex. This is a future consultation in the environmental review process, not an approval or a completed hearing.
