Cross-linked polyethylene insulation with optical fiber temperature sensors allows continuous monitoring of subsea cable core temperature. ## High Reliability Transformers and Environmental Protection 3 generator step-up transformers rated at 350 MVA each with hermetically sealed tanks and marine-grade coatings have been energized at the coastal terminal.
